    Boat help needed. FLYING BOAT!

Hi Guy's i put a tacom 3900KV motor in my ABC fighter 550 and i just took it out for a test run on 2s well here is the problem i can't even drive it even feathering power slowly it flips out right on it's top I think the motor is way to much for this boat?
even with a 29mm prop it still tork rolls impossible to drive...
Will those rear trim tabs help.... from how bad it does this i don';t think nothing will help..... Think i should just drop in a 3000KV motor?
    THANKS
:p What go faster that's what I like to do!

I dont know what that boat is, or what size tacon you put in it, but if the torque roll is that bad you would need a smaller can, not just lower kv...Is it just a hull that isnt made to go fast?

It's like a cracker box type boat 21 Inches the tacom i used it the 380 size in a 540 can.

      I am thinking 3000KV?

We have the same problem in Drag Hydros and we put the motor and the drive line off set to the right side. Then we put the batteries on the left side, on the CG front to rear. This will help.

All so a Cracker box that size will need real smooth water to go fast or you will need to build tunnels into it and that is called a runner bottom. I have a 21.5 inch runner bottom that I need to put the jet drive unit in it! It needs paint too!

Cool so i guess the lower KV motor will be better it will slow it down a little maybe making it more drivable.

          THANKS

Higher KV = smaller prop! Try that first.

Got a 3900KV in it now on 2S I am going to put on a 30mm prop and try the battery all the way on one side sidways and see if that will counter balance the roll effect?

There ya go, try to watch the water too, running in the evening will be calmer some times. Or early in the morning.

took the boat out today after putting the battery all the way on the left side it works now but it's crazy hard to drive and keep in a straight line ...I am going to plop a 3000 KV in there and slow it down the hull looks like it can't handle the speed.... Also i took the trim tabs off my widowmaker 22 it seemed to work better but now it also needs trim to the left a little now...Do trim tabs help the boats go in a straight line?

THANKS PS got some video of my boats going will post it later.

trim tabs help ride attitude not direction if i remember that had a prop that was hard set with a lot of negative angle and if you grossly over power it the prop is the only thing in the water thus making in steering inputs less effective but ive never had one so im just guessing, i do have a fast 21" hull and its capable of 35+ speeds so its not the size
