    Can you identify this part?

    Gentlemen,
I have a Steve Reesor Rigger with this rudder and it has become bent (hit something) and will need to be straightened. I would like to see if anyone can identify where I can get a replacement or is it a custom unit. If not, I would like to replace it with a Speedmaster type with a shear bolt. Any help would be appreciated. I have written Steve, without any response to date.

    Thank you

The Hyperformance rudder ay also fit.

I am not sure Dave lists the rudder seperately on the web, but give him a call.

If Hyperformance was machining Ray's parts, then surely they have a rudder that will fit.

                Rudder

As usual, OSE members have helped to save the day. I was able to find the rudder in Ebay by doing a search on Fullers. Got one on the way for ~25.00. I will still investigate for a "break away" type to prevent the damage again.

Thanks to all you FINE people!!!!!!!!!!!

                  Hi,

Sorry I have been unavailable for the past week and a bit...I was on my honeymoon...to London England...great trip! Got back this morning at 2:30am...still very tired.

Yes it was a Fullers rudder...

Good luck with the hull, it's an older model and was designed for NiMh cells!

Just for you info the rudders that mount with a 3/16 stud will all bend like that when your boat dumps you are better off with a speedmaster or something that does not mount using a stut this is from my experience not looking to bash anyone design Chris

                      Rudder

Chris, thanks for the feedback and I did order two of the rudders, one from Hyperperformance and one from Fullers. I also have a Speedmaster replacement on the way. I was just trying to get back in the water this weekend with limited modifications, Thanks
