    ??Neu for 43" Conquest

Hey guys, just wanted to know if the Neu 1527 is enough for single power, direct drive for a Aeromarine Conquest 43" Cat?? Or would the 2215 be the one??
I plan on running 8S to 10S lipo.... Any help would be great!

    Thanks

We are going to run 1527's (or 2280's) in our 1/8th Hydros and Open cats out here in Cali. These will be 10S boats BTW.

I am thinking about 3060/10 or 2215/2Y....I want low temps, good run time, 5-8min run time... Speeds of 55-65mph... will work...I need a FE brother to keep up w/ my Gas Conquest, which has no issues doing 58-60mph...LOL..... I do not want to under power this project...

A couple of us are setting up our Open Monos (DF Sniper hull) with 3060/10 on 10S2P batteries. AUW +/- 17 to 18 pounds and 44" hull length. We should be in the water by mid-January with them.

                  Some more pictures:

The yellow boat in a couple of the photos is another DF hull called a Storm. 32 inches. The pictured one is mine. I have an orange Sniper on the way. It will run on 3060/10 with 10S2P packs.

I personally think you guys are thinking WAY overkill on these motors.... but perhaps that's the goal???

Roger Newton powered his 1/8th Scale Unlimited 2005-ish Formula boat on 10S1P using a 2215 and 40-160 ESC and it was easily into the mid-70s before it would just not stay on the water any longer.... And we all thought that motor was WAY overkill for a 1/8th... Ray Fuller is doing the same with his 1/8th... 70's plus...

A 1527 would MORE than power a 43" hull into the 60's... with room to spare... and it's CONSIDERBLY less expensive...

BUT, all that said... This will be fun to watch... build away and then make some videos... I've gotta see this!!

Yep, forgot to mention that. I ordered mine through Paul and I bought the CyberStorm from him. Impeccable build!! Nice boat.

BTW - Paul's is running an 8S set up. Looks plenty fast!!
