    tube grease

Hi, I was wondering if this grease http://www.inoxed.com/mx8.htm would be any good to use on the drive shaft and in the tube? I've just rebuilt my stuffing tube due to a failed attempt with my first and while in the shed I noticed I have a full tube of this grease and it seem's to read well, I'm hoping someone may have tried it or may at least know if it'd work well?

I have heard of it but never tried it yet. Has all the qualities to use as drive line lube. I guess it depends on how much you get a tube for. Since I only buy by shaft grease in gun sized tubes its probably a great deal when you average it out over the years. Nice thing about grease is you can thin it out to make it go further.

I have been using premium Marine wheel bearing grease form O'Reillys with good results..Of course I re-grease every 3 or 4 runs..

I tired it yesterday and it seems to last a lot longer than the grimracer grease I've used, I went to re-grease after the 4th run and it had held up very well, kept it's color and thickness and the boat seemed smoother, maybe. I will continue to use this as it has lasted twice as long as the other, it doesn't oze out everywhere and I had no problems at all. I temped the drive line through out all my runs and the hottest it got was 45c - 113f at the end of a 5 minute run, and that was the last run of the day. A big from me.
