    Tom,

Here is mine... 1/16th Scale Garry Finlay Atlas "Sprint" hull, modified to create a 1982 Oberto Karelson hull... or to look like one anyhow... All 3/32" balsa w/ 1/64" ply lamination on the exterior... About 2lbs 11oz fully RTR w/ 3300mah 2S1P Lipo and 12-Turn brushed motor...

It's now setup to turn to the left, and Jim is considering starting a true 1/16th scale class here in Seattle, using a spec'd motor and prop (28-45-3600KV Ammo and an X430R prop...)...

I had the boat sitting around after the RRR Build Contest the last time around... I figured I might as well try to do something with it... because hey... I have the extra time...

That's about right... 1/16th scale of 29' for the 1982... 21.75" to be perfectly scale... Mine came out at 22.75" or so... due to Kinkos copier enlarging the original plans by 3.5%... and me not catching it until it was too late... Most scale class rules, however, have a +/- tolerance of 1" on length, and 10% everywhere else, so it should still be OK... In fact... with the limited motor, it may actually be one of those cases where more is NOT better...

This is what I use, they are very nice....cost is 17 euro (we don't have to pay the VAT.)

Unfortunetly it's definately not worth the shipping cost of 34 euro unless you add it to a much larger order....

          Maybe Steve can get some?

Those would be great... That's the same style Steve sells for the larger Ammo/Fiego sized motors... Would love to have that kind of quality, but if he can get the Silicone ones, that'd be good enough for this application...

                Thanks Steven,

My boat is all ready to go... only thing missing would be the water jacket, so when they are here, just let me know and I'll send payment and get this deal done... I should have need to order a few more things by then as well...
