    motor mount for DF33 w/cc1520

Hey guys just trying to install my cc 1520 in to my recently acquired Df 33 mono hull, the boat came with a 2 piece aluminum rail mounted motor mount perfect for leopard motor, but since my 1520 has the fins and the large water jacket it wont work, now i noticed most people are using the rail mounts, but is there anything wrong with using a floor mount like this:

I was thinking of using it to mount the front of the motor and i can actually use the rear rail mount i have to hold the weight of the end of the motor, i wont be able to clamp it because of the wires, but it will hold the weight. think this will be ok?? thanks

I'm asking because i have these parts on hand, it would be a couple weeks before i could get a rail mount for my 1520

What you are describing should work, but the benefit of rails is they stiffen the hull length wise and give the owner many options as to part locations, tying things together, etc.
