    Genesis Jerky when on throttle

My problems continue with the Genesis.

We had the wires get holes in them from solder and now have another issue.

My father was using the boat and the boat at full throttle seems to have jerky movement. It will go full throttle the stop then go then stop.

Any ideas? I assuming something with the ESC.

    Stock motor, ESC seaking 120amp, 5000mah 4Sp.

Have you changed any of the setting on the esc?

If you are running 4s on the stock motor the defualt selections the esc comes with are not the best. Change the lipo auto detect and manually set it for 4s, don't rely on the auto function. Turn the timing down a little as well .

        No settings changed.

Have been manual set to 4s.

What do you mean by timing?

if you get a turnigy program card you can change the motor timming, set the esc for 4s and change other factory settings,,the program card is cheap like 20.00..Plus the BEC on these esc's are not great you may need to dissable it and install a seperate power source to feed the esc,,do this buy popping out the signal wire from the plug that goes from the esc into the receiver then just get a 4 AA battery holder from Radioshack and install a receiver plug on it and plug the battery holder into the receiver where it says batt...

sounds like the radio to the reciver has a issue going on to me, is there a distance when running that the jerking starts? I had problems with one boats not responding correct and ended up being a bad battery in transmitter...mtc

tried different batteries and jerkiness happens when close by so its not distance either.
