    Corrosion X question

    I see people really diggin Corrosion X to spray in motors for protection. I have a tunnel hull and new motor going on it and want to add some layer of protection to the inside of the motor. Started looking and noticed different types/verisons of corrosion x, so my question is which version is everyone using?

    *I would like to order from Amazon since I have some money left over from a gift card......

    The Corrosion X i use is the 16ozs red aerosol can, Im sure this is the one most use. Its the same one that OSE has in the shop but i think theirs is the smaller can. Martin.

              While some will warn against its use on "electronic equipment", large numbers of R/C boaters use it without problems. A poll on another boating site showed that:

              78 out of 118 respondents had used it for over 6 months without a problem;
              33 had never used it;
              9 would use it depending on how the poll turned out;
              1 used it with minor problems;
              1 used it with major problems.

              A pretty good rate without problems.

              Yes,I've used it for years without problems.

                  I use the stuff OSE sells. I use it on servos, receivers, and ESCs. Not only have I not had a problem with it, but I have used it on ESCs that got wet and didnt work correctly (motor cogged, esc just got hot. used corr x and worked perfectly), servos that get wet and started going bonkers, and troubled rxs as well. Sometimes water will ruin stuff, but if it hasn't physically changed the component yet, and the problem is just the presence of moisture, Corrosion x can bring electronics back from the grave.

                    Good to know.

                    When I get similar issues with servo's and rx's acting goofy because of water I spray this stuff http://www.lpslabs.com/product_pg/cl...g/CFCFree.html we have MOUND fulls at my work. It works on everything electrical. This stuff is a aircraft mechanics best friend lol!

                    I been using this stuff on my rx's and esc lately to waterproof them and have had GREAT success in protecting my electronics http://www.google.com/products/catal...d=0CFYQ8wIwAA#

                    So on the motors just spray this stuff in the inside through a mount hole and shake out the excess or spray it and let it sit or what?
