    Measuring boat for boat stand...

I would like to build a PVC pipe boat stand for my Apache, but I need to know how to take the measurements so I can go buy the pipe.

Do I just measure the length and width or is there another way to take measurements?

A square made of PVC should work. You need 4 -3/4 inch elbows and a section of 3/4 inch pipe (10 feet is the shortest you can buy), a 3 foot section of pipe insulation for 3/4 inch PVC, not 3/4 inch copper, and get the one with the largest wall thickness they have. Cut the PVC to 10 inches (4) and slip the foam over 2 on opposite sides and shove the elbows on and your done. Don't finish the slice on the foam, leave it as a tube. No glue needed and if you run into irrigation problems, you have a supply of elbows you can steal and a chunk of PVC (6) to boot!

      Thanks for the info.

Home Depot sells 2ft section of pipe, better than buying 10ft...otherwise I wouldn't know how to get it home, since I don't have a truck
