    My first RC Boat/Hydrofoil

I've been thinking about a scratch build hydrofoil. This is a stock photo (I don't have the boat any longer) of the Nikko Shockwave I had when I was a kid but I can't find much information of anyone building or even running a hydrofoil today. If anyone has suggestions or experience with Hydrofoil's I'd greatly appreciate it. thx

Never saw boats like that! However when I was young one there was a family that had a summer home on the same lake in upstate NY as us & they had a set hydrofoil water skis. Strangest thing to see ---- if you leaned forward on the skis you would stay on the surface .... but lean back slightly and you raised up off the water. Very strange!!!!!
We did it with a Bang!

I have an RC hydrofoil. Made by a german company called Hegi. I am considering abandoning the project though...

We had an "Air Chair" that we'd take to Lake Powell when I was younger, pretty cool.

Diego! How could you abandon THAT? Too cool!
I have heard they can be a beast to try to set up for R/C.

The air chair's are sweet! Bailing on one though is not so sweet!

Neat. My friends dad used to build RC hydrofoils back in the 80s and 90s. Dunno if he still does. His company was called Hydrofoils Inc.

I don't want to give up, but I can't get wing work done for her. Check the date of the OP

Came up as an actual boat manufacturer, but cool none the less.
