    Spartan race class?

Ok, for your racers and smart fellas out there..
What race class would the Spartan fit under?
and what kind of speeds do the FE racers get out of their hulls in that class?
    .NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8s

The Spartan would fit in the Q Mono or Q Offshore classes. Boats in those classes will top out between 55 and 65mph, depending on the water conditions and course size. The fastest boat is not always the winner......

proper reinforcing, and blueprint the hull and good hardware it would probably hang, i've been thinking about getting a bare hull with some good hardware, the boat looks killer and i like the size

Q means 6S and up to 40" long. The way the rules are written, 5S would not be legal in IMPBA but would be legal in NAMBA. NAMBA has a 10,000 mAh maximum capacity but IMPBA does not. This is all as of today anyway.

The 1520 is on the small side for a 5S/6S racing motor, a 1527 or Leopard 4082 would be a better choice. And why not go 6S? Same speed, lower amp draw.

i think the 1520 and the 4082 more than likely the same size the 1520 is 40mm wide and doing a side by side comparison with my medusa 3680 is alittle longer propbaly 82mm and since there clones i imagine the same power output, but compared to a neu 1527 thats different story

If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?

Right Steveo, the Leopard is too small as well. The Castle 1717 is a better choice behind the Neu.

the tape free hatch means, water WILL come into the hull when flipped

The larger CC1520 is 40 x 88mm and a 4082 Leopard is obviously 40 x 82mm...............which i imagine equates to more power for the 1520, better quality too i presume.

and being how well the CC1717 is showing to be the CC1520 should be great

Q voltage is 15.6 to 22.2 in the IMPBA Jay.
