Whos built a solar powered FE?

I was just wondering holla back. Going green is in . What do we do with the batteries besides stick them in salt water. Spent materials ?

interesting. but you would need some kicka$$ solar panels lol otherwise it be as slow as the rover on mars!
If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?

Yeah, dreamland is right. You could use panels to charge your batteries maybe...not as a primary energy source though. The power needs to be stored.

but it sure be nice to be able to run a FE all day non stop! but i mean FAST ELECTRIC!

Even if you could convert all the solar energy falling on an FE boat's deck into electricity (you cannot) it would not be enough to power a boat to an acceptable speed. We'll still need an on-board energy source - hydrogen cells are the next potential technology for hours of fast run time...assuming we can lick the heat buildup problem.

Yes. A pure solar powered boat can be E, but can't be FE.

It would be SE. Slow Electric LoL! Like Jay said, hydrogen is the next power source but then even that is out of the cost of most and there are safety issues also and that is a hold back and it shows in the automotive industry.

One of the first hybrid car designs was solar power and gas. The problem was that on cloudy and even party cloudy days there was not enough voltage gained and on rainy days the idea was pointless so it was abandoned.

There is one fuel source that we have but is being politically controlled by the oil industry which is a process of extracting energy from any green plant. In the US there is one particular plant that when used in this extracting process it yields 3 times more power than gasoline and has zero emissions. We have this plant exclusively in the US but we currently see it as a weed and it's not used for anything, sad but true. The best part is that if we used this process little would be needed to convert your current vehicle and the US would not have to depend on anyone for oil, yes we would all be filthy rich and the rest of the world would come to us for fuel.

Does charging you lead acid field battery with a solar charger count? Then charge you lipo packs from that?
You are still getting your electricity from the sun, just storing it.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

has anyone heard of bob lazar? hes converted a 1989 corvette to run on hydrogen! he was a senior staff physicist at area 51. supposedly worked on ET craft. back engineered.

Fast or Slow ... who cares ?
If we based our designs on speed.. the motor car would have never left Henry Ford's garage.
When in Shindao last yr I bought a micro elec car with 1inch solar panel on roof controlled by bluetooth.. on a sunny day it goes @1mph.... fun.. and indicative this idea has already been 'floated'.

Wat about a water powered boat hho or a converted nitro engine? Is that what yall mean by hydrogen is that the same as the hho concept?
