    my reciver melted

I have a titan 29 with a 8xl Feigao motor and a hobbyking 60amp esc. I run a 4s lipo and i finally got my flex shaft in and i got about a 4 min run then it died upon opening the boat up smoke started coming out then i looked at the reciver and the servo plug and the ecs plug were melted to the reciver i have never seen this please help what went wrong??? and the prop i run is a x440.

It did manage to do 37.4 mph in pretty choppy condition!

I assume that's a 540 8xl which means that esc is WAY to small for that motor. The esc may have burnt something up inside and the bec shorted and took the rx out. Or got water on it. I had a esc get wet and fry itself and the rx before. Onething is for certain you need a bigger esc ASAP! A 120 would be much MUCH better. Check that esc out really good, she maybe toasted!
