Do all esc's need to be programed out the box?
If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?Tags: None -
Yes you should. The should be Throttle Calibrated and setup up properly for your specfic motor & battery voltage. Don't rely on the auto-detect function for the LVC they are known to have issues. Manually program you cell count. And the timing may need to be adjusted based on your motor you are using. Failing to do so could result in issues. -
Yes, definitely recommend programming and agreed, you should not rely on auto-detect voltage OR assume that the low voltage cutoff is right.IMPBA: 7-Time FE World Record Holder "Don't think outside the box. Rather, refuse to admit that the box exists in the first place!"

I have mine set to 3v/cell and my LiPos are always over 3. I get good run times too. But if I were using high quality cells I would definitely set it higher.Comment

Some guys do the tx method withthe beeps. I personally don't like the beep beep methos. I like the programming box http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...-seaking-pcard
This will work on the 60amp, 80amp HV, 120amp and 180 amp hobbywing seaking esc's. It will also work on the 60amp, 80amp HV, 120amp and 180 amp Turnigy Marine Series Esc's. (ONLY THE MARINE SERIES). This unit will also work on the Venom Pro Brushless Marine 60ampesc's . All the esc's I have listed are the same and are Hobbywing Seaking Esc's

*Both are the same.
Please note that the hobbywing programming boxes work on both hobbywing seaking esc's and there land esc's. The boxes are the same, the difference in programming options is inside the esc's. I have a programming box with a sticker on the front for the car esc's. I just cut the program chart out of the boat esc manual and stuck it to the prgramming box so I knew which options were what.Comment
