    Brushless efficiency ??

Can someone with a good brushless background answer a couple questions about KV / voltage efficiency.I ran 2- 380XL 2930kv motors on 3s which was fast but drew a lot of amps.If I ran the same size motor / prop combo with a lower kv around 1480kv but much higher voltage 6s would that run lower amps and be more efficient given that the RPMs would be about the same.[2] Would two 5000mah 30c 3s joined in series give you 6s but cut your run time in half compared to running the same battery packs by themselves, one on each ESC.

#1 higher voltage = less amps at same rpm- in perfect world you gonna draw half the amps with 6s
#2 i would think that your run time might be the same your drawing less amps at 6s but with only 5000 mah feeding both motors, but i am not an expert

6s per motor would best for amp draw and runtime

Thanks, I wanted efficiency but wanted to use my abundant supply of 2s & 3s battery packs.

Use 3S2p with your 2930's for double runtime ...

          6S1P with1480Kv equals similar as 1930 on 3S1P runtime

The 3s on 2930 is the amp draw problem so adding 2p would only add weight making it worse.I have 2 120a ESCs and 2 motors.

              Doh.
6S1P Vs 3S1P.. of course it has twice runtime.. but similar total rpm at prop.
Late night here in Au ..getting my thoughts confuddled.!
