    This is for my seaking 180 is it possible that I have 2 bad cards? I can not get them to light up I cut the red wire from the ESC as I am using a seperate 6V battery for my RX , I have read the instructions many times and I understand what to do but I just got a new one today and I can't get that to light up thanks chris

    Chris i had the same problem...I had to re-connect the red wire, programmed the esc then, disconnected the wire...Dont know why but maybe some of the pros on here will......

      Same here. rx pack and red wire removed, no go. So I had to plug the red wire back in when programming.

        That is why I don't cut the wire. I use a T-pin to lift the tab and pull the connector out. Then if I need to reprogram it for a different setup it's not a problem.

          If you cut the red wire, you have to use a separate receiver pack plugged into the card as I recall. Otherwise, the card isn't getting any juice!

            Jim you need the red wire to program the ESC - I have tried an rx pack.

                If you disconnect the bec on the esc you need to provide power to the box (rx pack) AND you still need to power the esc via your lipos. I had this happen to me before then when I connected the lipos to the esc and the RX pack to the box everything worked for me. The rx pack only powers the box, the esc still needs to be powered.

                  Thanks for that! Yes, now I remember! You must also hook up your power batts in addition to a receiver batt if you're not using the BEC.
