its probably glued on, i'm sure a torch would work, and possibly an oven as well.

Heat it with anything hot enough, I was using a torch. You don't have to keep pulling them during the heating, just watch when the smoke poooofs out it's time to easily pull them apart. Don't do that in door, it smells really bad.

Ok I will give that a try. What should I glue it back on with?

OSE sells a special loctite for assembling shafts. Not sure why there are two different ones. They both say the same thing. Anyone know?

I read 603 is oil resistant after curing. But it has an odor. The 638 dosent have odor and is thicker i think.
I've got some loctite at home but not sure what it is. I'll have to look. I know it's red.

If I remember right the non oil resistant is slightly stronger.
Blue or red thread locker is different stuff, people have also used permatex bearing and sleeve retainer, not sure if it's as good as the locktite.

Like most said, use a torch. That's how I remove mine then use red lock tight to assemble it again.

Both 603 & 638 are green, As been said the 638 is stronger at 3625 psi & has a bigger gap filling tolerence but is not as oil tolerant. 603 is 3260 psi & is thinner with less gap filling tolerence but is oil tolerent. Thanks Martin.

                    flex cable

Use a bottle touch and heat stub enough so cable will lift off. Now to assemble, , put cleaner in stub The cleaner will disapate and heat stub and add solder . After solder in stub heats enough, a flame will appear, blow out and sink cable into stub and let cool. Sleeve retainer works great but found to be messy. The first part is the easiest and cleanest way by far. The cleaner used with silver solder is the best.
