Sj pointed me to the New Rio by AquaCraft.

Look like a Neu or a Lehner candidate...it's funny tower had it on their site before Aqua did about 3 weeks ago.

Would the NEU 1527 power this OK? Or would it need the NEU 2215?

Well, a couple of us out here in Cali are going this direction for a big boat:

Made by DF. It's called a "Sniper".

We're putting Lehner 3060/10 motors in them and will run them on 10S packs with a Schulze 40-160 ESC. Should have them going by the end of the year!!

I've thought about the Rio, but just for fun and keeping as built. I am not sure you can get a bare hull from AquaCraft, so it seems a $$ way to go!!
            Don't get me started

Sniper is cool. I just sold my electric version that I got as a sample to a guy in Europe. I have another one coming in a week. But that's for another topic.

The Rio is a beauty. I would love to find out the weight of one without the motor. Something tells me its going to be a pig!

a 2280 should work in that , if it can power a 1/8th on 10s it should do this just fine

                      Steve:
                      Fuji BT-28
                      Weight: 3.25lb (1.47kg)
                      AC rio 51
                      Weight:13.75 lb (6.4 kg)

it looks like it is 10.5 lbs with out motor

Then there is that huge tuned pipe.
I'm gona as the hull less pipe and motor is about 9 lbs.

Well after removing the fuel tank, radio box and cutting out some stringers say 7 pounds. I'd say it's possible.

the fuel tank isnt very much,
Personally i would leave the radio box in there, anything helps and it doesn't hurt,
I would also leave the stringers just like they are now. You would be surprised on the power a 2280 will put you, Most likely more then that Fuji in there.
