    Stuff made in China? beware

Mattel Inc. recalled more than 21 million Chinese-made toys on fears they were tainted with lead paint and tiny magnets that children could accidentally swallow. Mattel's own tests on the toys found that they had lead levels up to 200 times the accepted limit.

If they will do this to a company that spends millions, what do you think they will do to some small R/C dealers?

Don't need to wonder why most of the NIMH cells out there are junk now, they don't care.

recently there's been a program on TV in France where some inspector went to a chinese factory and ask if the product was compliant with European rules, the chinese engineer simply reply that their customer demand to have the CE complaint sticker on it but the product was not compliant at all!
witch one is the one to blame?

You get what you pay for!!!! The only Chinese Battery I own is a HECELL Lipo 11.1V 4000mAh 25C, I got it off ebay for $50 just to try it out.... I can say it charges fine and balances out everytime very quickly!! Great power but I still am "up in the air" about HECELL.... All my other applications use POLYQUEST or Thunder Power, with great success!!!!
Personally, I will stick to P-Quest, Thunderpower, and Neu .......
Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

You can sometimes get a good Li-Poly pack, you just never know when. All of the good Li-Poly cells are made in South Korea. Poly-Quest, Poly RC, Thunder Power all have these cells, many are Enerland. I have no idea what Neu has but the shapes suggest the same.

Didn't want to hurt you Mr Battlepack, far from that!!!
I work for an American compagny here in France and since 2 or 3 years, part of the production moved from USA and Germany to China, why? simply because this brings more money to the top 10 shareholders, unfortunately this is THE rule of today's business!

I think we are talking about apples and oranges here.....I doubt that Mattel told China to use Lead Based Paint with a turned head.

My complaint is getting samples that are good.
                1st shipment is good
                Maybe even the 2nd shipment
Than comes along the 3rd and suddenly the quality is not near the same and they no way at first and slowly come around to saying we made big mistake!
Try getting them to wire you money back....LOL

That's my experience when dealing with China.

The Chinese only make what the customer wants...to the customers specs. Mattel already apologized to the Chinese factory for all the trouble. It was MATTEL'S SPECS!!

The US Law regarding lead content changed between the time the products were produced and when they shipped. It was a no win for China and for Mattel. The products met the previous US standard just fine.

I thought lead based paint was banned in the US, is it not?

You will continue to have this problem until you GO TO CHINA, become friends with the manufacturer, go out to dinner, and drink his tea. THEN, and only THEN will you get good quality consistently. Relationships are more important to the Chinese than business is. Ask me how I know!

All of their cells are Enerland. A Korean company that now makes the cells in Malaysia!

Fiegao motors are from China. No problems with that company. You can have the problems with manufactures in the USA or anywhere.

Why are we picking on the Chinese?
