    question about brushless motors

I am thinking about getting a feigao brushless motor and I am trying to figure out what the difference between the s, l, xl motors are. I know that it means short, long and extra long in terms of the can size but does a longer can mean more torque. I know that the KV numbers drop with the longer cans so i am guessing that the longer cans have more torque but I just want to make sure.

short answer, correct. longer answer, longer cans gives you more mass to soak up heat(and to some extent disipate it too) which means you can run it somewhat longer before it gets too hot. I gather that one should use the biggest motor that will fit the boat/budget :)
Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in

      agree with Rex!
always use the biggest that can fit (size and weight) and choose the appropriate KV according to number of cell so that prop spins around 25000rpm
