    Trim tabs on v hulls

On hulls like the DF deep v & the numerous copys do most use trim tabs or in certain setups their not nessesary & just cause unessesary drag & extra weight. ie 41" Osprey hull with a Leopard 4082 1500kv on 6s. Working to a budget so dont wont to go to the higher cost something like the 5692 & 240amp esc. Just looking for a larger boat to run in rougher water so not looking for 50+ mph. Thanks.

IMO trim tabs have far more pro than cons. Some say a properly tuned boat don't need them but I use them on all my monos. When properly setup it shouldn't add too much drag. Drag don't mean nothing if your floating on your hatch.

well said..i agree i put them on all mine now too..i have found that turn fins add more drag then the tabs..but monos for the most part need fins also
