    Windshield for my CF Daytona

    OK............
    My first Noob question

    So I bought My first Boat;
A Carbon Fiber Daytona from Ben at http://fightercatracing.com/

Its a Kick A$$ Hull that (In my opinion) need some special attention to detail !
Its gonna be a Go Straight, Go Fast, L@@k Good, Show Off Boat

My buddy owns a Graphics Company so were going to do some sick Graphics on it!!
But I thought how cool would it be to add a realistic windshield & side windows (Like the real thing)..........
Now, I've seen windshield "Kits" for the bigger scale boats, but I cant seem to
find any "Kits" for the "Genesis" style (37") boats ..........

Does anyone know of a person or company making any of this style kits?
Or am I going to have to make my own?

I can make my own since I have much experience with"Scale" RC 4x4's
but I thought if someone was making these I could support the community instead

    Thanks in advance

    Regards V8

            Ahh.. sorry about the confusion...

if you are talking about cutting out the cowl to install that type of windshield, i would be very cautious about sealing that bad boy up..
don't get me wrong it would look cool as hell..

            good luck to you,
            Giz.

Thanks for the shout out Giz!!

I do not want to hijack your thread but for anyone else interested I do have custom windshields for the genesis cat hulls. PM me is interested.
The bottom one I can add rivets to if you would like.
It was mocked up after the attached mystic hull.

v84x4 if you print this on 8.5x11 paper you will have a guide for cutting if your going to do it yourself with some lexan or something like that. You can use the rivet marks for your screws & you'll be closer to on your way. Let me know if I can help in any way to get you a template worked up.

Looks like a neat build look forward to seeing some progress!

Better be careful running fast boat with a real windshield. You ll be wishing you hadnt. It looks cool and I like your motivation and the idea, but if it blows out..you know what happens.

                          Email sent let.
Keep me posted if you need any decals.
FYI If they are going to need to be cut then I would need a vector file for the cut path.

Yup, if you wanna go fast, I would not cut out for a windshield. Make a frame, put some "painted from behind" lexan in it or just paint it and call it done. real see thru looks fantastic, but your going to be hating life when you roll it, which you will, and it shatters.

If you want a rough stock layup that you can cut out to your preferred window frame shape, let me know and I will lay one up for you.
