Need help with a fast setup!

I am looking for a 80 mph setup. I am open to any suggestions. I have a Geico boat, woodstuff boat from Mike and a vegas! If any of these hulls wont reach those speeds I will buy another boat. Batteries are not a problem either. Any suggestions are appreciated.

None will reach 80 reliably, you will probably destroy them before you get there. The easiest way to go fast is with an outrigger. The problem is few are available in the right size. The JAE21FE can get to 70 with ease but the step to 80 can be tough. I built my own wooden rigger a few years ago and set the IMPBA SAW record for P Hydro at 85+ with a Feigao motor and nickel cells. With the current power available it is a lot easier to do it today.

Take a look at the nitro JAE 45 plans, 37" long, been kicking around the idea of shortening one a bit to about 30 - 34" and using a spare leopard 4074 I have here.
Think it would be a fast set up, the 21fe was designed more for spec power, at least thats what it says on Joes site.
I have a .12 nitro and that thing is now my favorite boat hands down if the water is nice. Screaming fast and about as cheap as you can run nitro for!
The 45 also has 2 different sponson shapes you can build, the normal jae style and a more curvey shaped set.
Another you could look at the plans for is the KEPS 21 rigger.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Be hard fitting more than a 4s 5000 pack in there, thats why I was considering a shorter 45. More room for batteries and the big motor.
This is the FE plan, you can see what will fit.
