Can you give a little more information like what size 1500kv motor and what are your speed expectations? At 1500kv on 4s your rpms are going to be rather low.

      Here's a thread on the r2hobbies cat: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ad.php?t=16095

A 1500 Kv motor on 4S is about what the SV27 and BJ26 came with so expect speeds in the mid/high-30s - if the motor is large enough. Assuming you have a PB or AQ motor you can have good luck with the Aeromarine Mean Machine that Steve sells, or find a used BJ26 etc. The HOTR-type cats are a bit longer than you wanted, and they are narrow so they don't turn all that well but they certainly are an option. Hull quality can be an issue with the Chinese hulls, some will never run well.

I have a Mean Machine in the swapshop I tried to sell as an artr. The one in my avatar. I had no luck so I sold the motor and speed control out of it. I would sell you the hull/hardware as-is for 200-bucks. All you would need is a motor/speed control/batteries/and flexshaft & prop. It was a brand new build only run 3-times.

i actually just bought a used scatcat the hull was damaged in shipping and seems very thin in spots so i was thinking of a glass hull do you guys think this setup would work in the 32" fighter cat riversport maybe 2300kv 36-56-06, 100 amp esc, on 4s should be about 34000 rpms

2300kv @ 4s will usually require more esc. 100A wont make it, especially if its a cheap one.
Not sure what motors you are looking at, but keep in mind the watt rating. To power a cat that size you want AT LEAST 1500watts if you want it to run well. If those are hobbyking motors they probably arent half that, and they wont spin at that RPM once you put a prop on them.

None of those motors will work will in a 32" JMO, like mentioned already. I don't personally know much about the scat cat, but looking at the dimensions looks like a good hull for that bj motor you have and the 100amp esc will work nicely with it. JMO

                    * Most of the HK inrunner motors just don't put out a lot of wattage at all. Most of the 36-56 series motors are only good for around 450 watts they have some decent outrunners though for good prices.

so deisel 6401 i noticed on another thread you posted on (geico twin revisited) you were talking about those suppo motors if i went with the 32" rivercat would a single motor system work good for this size and off the top of your head what type of speeds could you get with this setup

The motor I referred on the twin is the same motors I run in my twin and they would be to small by themselves for that hull. JMO.... A lot of guys have had good luck with the t-600 outrunners on that hull. The Hobbycity and Fightercat motors are suppos.

Shes a big motor and will work well by itself if your looking for outrunners. Different sizes and kv's. Just stick with a t600 size motor and you should be fine or you can PM Ben the owner and a active OSE member and ask him what he thinks would work best.
