If you can find a used Triton for a good price, they are great boats. I sold mine and have regretted it ever since. What's so great about them? I guess the fact that you dont hav to retreive them when they flip over?

I like that but do they handel choppy water better than a deep vee or is that just the only feature?

The flood chamber is just to flip the boat over when its capsized, it doesnt really have an effect when the boat is planed out and running. How well the boat does in rough water would depend on the hull design and not whether or not it is self righting. For example, you can buy the triton I mentioned with or w/o a flood chamber. Both have the same footprint though and should handle waters equally.

Okay, thanks for that info. Glad i asked before i bought. What mono would be great for serious chop in the 29-37" inch range. My DF 40" copy handel's it great. I've got my eye on LD 33"DF copy mono in SS. Looked like the same hull design in the pics so i figure it should do well?

Obviously it would be a little more limited than your 40", being much smaller. Other than that it should do ok. Ricos are supposed to be great for rough water as well, but Ive never personally owned one.
