6S motor options for whip 20

Was wondering if i could run a whip 20 on 6S and what motor would be a good choice. Was thinking a leopard 4082 but not sure if a 4074 would be enough.
    thanks

in my opinion from my whip....a neu 1515 1y, OR 4074 of equal kv is MORE than enough and will rip. the whipe 20 on 6s will absolutely scream! it is actually way more power than needed, but could be fun.

You'll have problems fitting 6S2P in a Whip 20 (room and weight), if you want 6S it will be 1P. 6S1P/5000mAh 45C cells can support 200 continuous amps draw. Choose a motor with moderate Kv, between 1300 and 1500 to keep the prop rpm in line. That's 29,000 to 33,000 rpm, plenty. The boat is small and light for 6S, so no need for a huge motor. A Leopard 3674 or Feigao 12XL would work well since you won't be pulling huge amps or spinning a large prop.

I would do 4s a 1515 1y will scream, I use a 1521 1.5d in my Whip 20 on 4s1p 6500mah and a 648/450 prop and its more than the boat needs. 4s2p is a tight fit in this hull.

even two 2S in series is tight! I run my whip 20 in LHS with UL-1 motor and it's already a 50+mph boat.
