    stopping chine walk

is there any fixes for chine walk ,

now i have taken my UL1 hydro out a few times and played with different props 40,52,3 and 40,57,3 and m445 ,it has a side really bad port to starboard rock going on (up and down)

i have played with strut angle ,height and turn fin with not much success of reducing ,

and i have sanded my sponsons flat .. ,and props are super sharp and balanced

    any help please ..

The AoA (angle of attack) on the UL-1 sponsons are too aggressive in stock form ; likely designed that way to allow for looser running/more speed when run as a stock RtR. Once "pepped up", the boat rides up & down on this, causing the chine dance. By reducing the AoA, this can be mostly eliminated. I made wedged ride pads with birch ply - having a belt sander helps, and boat can now run 49-50 mph without the "death dance".

This mod will help your UL-1 be a little more stable in rough water, but if you are getting sponson hop down the straits in calm water, then sponson angle is not your problem.

My modified UL-1 will chine walk if I use a prop that is too large or too much pitch. The m440, x442, "thinned" GR L40x57 3, works good on my hull. I am thinking the m445 may work, but may be too aggressive without changing strut settings.

Raptor347 has a way of making larger (m445) and more aggressive props work on the UL1. You may want to ask him.
