    Stuffing tube angle

I JUST UPGRADED MY RIO TO BRUSHLESS AND IT PERFORMS GREAT BUT HAS SOME TORQUE ROLL ITS NOT AS BAD AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BUT ITS THERE, NOW I USED TO FLY ELECTRIC PLANES AND I WOULD MOUNT MY OUT RUNNER AT A SLIGHT ANGLE TO COUNTERACT THE TORQUE MY QUESTION IS IF I TWEAKED MY STUFFING TUBE THE RIGHT WAY WOULD IT WORK THE SAME OR WOULD IT MAKE ME DRIVE IN CIRCLES

I have upgraded my Rio to a Tacon 36-50 2950kv and suffer from torque roll too if I am not careful with the throttle. I tried the trim tabs but could not correct so if you find a solution please post. I was figuring it was too much motor and prop for a narrow hull. I came down from the stock 42 mm prop to 38 mm but the torque roll is still there. When I next order some stuff from OFE will get a 36mm to see if it helps

If I accelerate reasonably mine is OK mash the throttle and it will roll on its back. I can get to about two thirds throttle and all is OK but any more and it runs leaning to the right. This seems a common thing with this hull and brushless see the Rio thread for more.

I ran a new stuffing tube so I could run an octura .130 flex. I would just put it straight, the boat is capable of around 25mph without torque roll on the stock hardware.

What KV are you running. I have mine with a 2300kv 3650 on 3s and a 2881kv 2858 on 3s. Both had torque roll on 3s and none on 2s. The easy solution is to prop down further. I used a Grim 36x55 and an octura x435 which all but eliminated the roll. You will lose speed but be able tune the boat with the trim tabs and weight placement on the port side(where I place my esc)

Check out my vid, with the 2300kv motor and a grim 36x55. Slight roll a few times but not much with the 36mm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZwxM..._order&list=UL

I am using a Tacon 3650 2950 kv on 2s with a 1.4 38mm carbon prop, torque roll at 2/3 throttle 20 plus mph estimated. You are probably right around 25 is where the torque roll becomes readily apparant, 120 ESC on the left

im using a 2300kv 36-56-06 and a 60amp esc with 2200 30c 3s lipos and stock prop i would say mine is at least high 20s maybe even 30mph it has mad torque just need to control it
