    NEU 2215 motor Q

In need of some info- on the NEU smooth case 2215 need to know the diameter and usable case length for a possible custom cooling jacket. The OSE cooling jacket diameter for the finned case is 3" which is a bit too large.

        Don,

I measure 57.5mm or 2.264" diameter on my motor and a useable length of 2.1"

Neu's sites list 57.413mm for a smooth can.

            Nope...

You could just buy 2.5" Aluminum tubing with .0625" wall and just silicone it on or try for the 1/16" orings instead of the 3/32" orings I use for my Leopard 56mm can. I think it will work... I'll crunch numbers....

              O.k. a piece of 2.5" tubing minus .125" total (.0625 x2) wall = 2.375" ID

a 2215 with proper sized .0625" cross section Oring on it is approx. 2.389" total OD.

              2.389" - 2.375" = 0.014" or .007" compression per sideof oring. This can work.
