    Which rtr boat to buy?

I currentlt have a brushless sv 27 and am looking at these at the hobby shop tomorrow:
    1) PB Miss Geico
    2) King of Shaves P1
    3) Venom Miss Excite
    4) AC UL1
    5) PB Miss Elam

Or if anyone would reccomend another boat for around the $300 range I'm open for suggestions and why.
PS. I'd prefer advice based on actual experience with the boats.

I plan on leaving the store with one tomorrow so please help.

I'm leaning tworads the KOS P1 or the Miss Geico. The P1 looks really cool and the hardware looks quality to me and the Geico because I've never ran a cat and I really like the look of that also?
    What do you think?

I'd like to peep up for ya. I own both the MG, as well as the P1. Less issues with P1, at least in my experiences over this past summer. Fried 2 stock proboat ESC's, ran my P1 ESC in the MG for the last half. Plus, no bouncing issues with P1.
Both are great boats, just if you want to run, and not tinker, get the p1.
Ran the P1 on 4,5, and 6s, never a problem. Ran on 5s with the MG, blew everything up. Still can't get the stink out Of the hull!!
Now everyone here has had different issues with both boats, so it's really hard to say for sure. Get the one you like the most.
P1 got me about 40MPH stock. MG about 35. P1 is still stock, and running great. MG.... had to redo the whole back end and fiddle for about 15 packs before I could get decent runs.
Both are a blast, so read all the issues guys have had with both, watch some vids, and who knows, mayne you'll buy both like most of us anyway! Lol!!
This is way to addictive to say you want just one...
    Good luck on your decision.
And of course, have a blast!!!

Was the 40mph on the P1 with 4-5 or 6s, The P1 does look nice when running. Thanks Martin.

I agree with either the p-1 or the geico. I have both myself and also like the p-1, but it does need a prop right away. The stock prop is inadequate and it needs something like a 640 or 442.

And I get 40mph with a 642 prop on 4s. But the motor does get pretty hot with that setup.

Did you have the BEC disabled on 5s?

Yeah, sorry, forgot about the prop! It barely planes with the stock on there!
I am getting the 40 with a grim 42, and the x640 as well.
All on 4s. I just tried the others for fun, and knowing the motor can't really handle it, I jut made a few passes on each ofte 5s and 6s.

I just put on a speed master stinger, and offset the rudder. I want the big .150 drive in it. I made the stock shaft turn into a pretzel after the third month with it. Mostly just bored and tinkering since all the water is blocks of ice

Yes, I always run a separate battery for my receivers. Even if running 3 or 4s packs, I just always set them up that way, in case I want to run bigger batts.

Let us know how the speedmaster hardware works out. Now you'll have more room for adjustment with that stock rudder bracket out of the way!

The array of boats you listed is very different. It really comes down to what you want?? You got a cat (geico) a mono (kosp1) then you got a few hydros. I have a Red Evo (miss excite is identical) and its pretty fun, always manages to land right side up when i spin it out! It also is capable of very fast speeds, i'd say it can handle 60mph. I sure like the geico though.

as far as rtr boats, aquacraft all the way. ul-1 or if you really want a cat wait till spring when aquacraft comes out with theirs.... other than that i think proboat stinks, but thats just my opinion. my ul-1 will blow the doors off any rtr proboat nonsense

LOL..I say proboat..My Miss Geico is a well built boat.I havent had any probs...It makes me laugh when all the aq guys with sv27r boats say the hull cracking is normal...Why hasent my MG hull cracked after well over 40 runs? Just look at all the forums and then decide which one to go with. They all have certain probs..

Heh yeah I guess I'm just sour because my Elam had so many issues and my ul-1 has been really good to me. All boats require tinkering tho. Rtr or not
