The 5692 would be better suited to an 1/8 scale or big cat(50") or mono.

It is a 5682, not a 5692. Slightly smaller motor than the one steve sells here.

A bit shorter, but still more usefull as an anchor in a 32" boat than a power source. There is NO speed advanage to a bigger can, unless you are loading it harder, you are just adding weight for no reason, which will only slow you down.

          Still better suited for a large hull.Run a 540 XL or a 40mm motor.

Ok that motor is WAAAAY to big and the prop is WAAAAAAY to small. Complete over kill and your with the wrong setup like this you may be far from your goal. The boat is better on 4s but you can make 6s work. I would recommend a 4074 1400kv http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...o-4074&cat=148 if you want to run 6s and a m445 or x447. You should see low to mid 50s with that set up and would be more practical. You need more then just a prop change on this hull...

Another option would be a 4082 1500 on 6s. With the props I listed above you should be high 50s knocking on 60.

I ran a 4082 1500kv in my 37"cat on 6s with an X445 and went 62mph.Had no heat at all with plenty of room to prop up.I tried a 447 but didnt get a good run because of a blow over that knocked my GPS loose, splitting the seam. This was also a Hydro and Marine hull with a tunnel better design for speed.Im thinking this motor can turn an X450.Ill find out soons as the water thaws. This right here is a perfect example of why you dont need and shouldnt run that big 5682 in a 32" hull.

Heres a good suggestion for the genesis hull. This should be faster than your friends boats.

The y536 prop was my current set up with a 540 xl motor not with the huge motor.

Thanks for all the great info. I changed my order to a Leopard 4082 1500 kv motor. Thanks for all your help in keeping me from making a mistake. FOr you who asked it is a vantex? It is the 32" bud select boat. SOLID hull. Could not be happier with the boat.
