please can anyone tell me if you use 2x 3s say 4000mah 40/50c in series making 6s would using 2x 6s 4000mah 40/50c in parallel makeing 8000mah make any more loading or stress on the esc. thanks..

with a little luck some of the gurues jump in here but i wil give it a shoot.
but from what i been told. to little power from the batteries wil give ripple currents witch wil in turn burn your ESC over time ( how much\little time depends on your setup)
so if you have a option to run 6S2P 6S X 2) that wil be the better choise rather then 6S1P (3s X 2).Comment

Well as far as I see things I'd say video2000 is completely wrong. Modern 4000mAh 40-50C have such a little inner resistance that I think to care about ripple currents is nonsense even if you might have a controller with crappy caps.
This might be a problem with really extreme applications like SAW or bad lipos but as said not for the modern ones.
With 6S2P of 4000mAh 40-50C Lipos you will have a noticable gain in voltage under load resulting in higher rpm and higher current. Second thing is with 2P you have more weight in your boat which also leads to higher currents. Third thing is, that with 2P you have nearly twice the running time, which will lead to greater heat in your ESC.
Even a single 5000mAh 40C Turnigy can easily handle peaks of 350Amps (means 7000W power).
So I'd say in nearly any normal application it will lead to more stress. For most applications I think a proper used single lipo will deliver enough power, if the setup is okay a 2P setup may be used to increase the running time.
