LSH/P roundy round boat. I need to build a new SAW boat as well.
Nice. Any travel plans for racing this summer? Us cheese heads will be having the Annual Mazo Challenge. It would be nice to get some non-midwest competition I think the last time you were out this way was back when Drobie was still around. We may have some well known nitro racers participating this year like Dave Pruesse, Brian Stieglitz, and Phil Thomas (If I can get him talked into finishing a P-limited Sport Hydro for this summer)
Build him a whip!
Tique do yourself a favor....pick one of the three mentioned.
I think I will, and I also think I will make the time to build it myself. Its part of it and truley my favorite part. I havent built a boat from scratch in years. I built several in Highschool, put a 1/10 cracker in the State fair my senior year ('94) and got First place for drafting design and build and best of show. It was design and build becasue the plans were in a RC Boat Modeler about 3.5 X 3.5 inches. My drafting teacher showed me a method to accurately scale it up to get correct dimensions on everything (not using a copier ). Knowing the boat was 21" if I recall, we had a starting point. I drew a full set of plans in Autocad, then built it. I only wish I still had those plans, and several others I did including a hydro and 50s style chris craft. I actually started building the hydro, but I dont know if it would be worth finishing. It would need an insane amount of re-doing for todays power plants. Plus I built it ridiculously light, it wouldnt be strong at all I dont think... I will dig it out and take a picture of it if its still in one piece.

I miss Drobie! Was wearing a 2006 Sardine Classic T-shirt at the gym yesterday.
My big race this summer is the NAMBA Nitro/Gas Nats at Legg Lake. Other than that, lots of local racing.
I've gotten to the point that if I can't drive, I'm probably not going to be there. Flying and shipping stuff has just become too big a pain.
