Mono Hull Boat project set-up, newbiw questions

Today I am only active in electric car area, however now getting more and more interested in buidling a electric boat.
Due to the water conditions around were i live (Sweden) I am lookinf or a mono hull of around 45", for example the Arrowshark Octane 45 hull. That hull is made for 26cc gasoline angine but I assume possible for conversion to electric?

Now to my questions, how would the motor/ESC/Lipo set-up look like for such hull (I am not after an extreme speed but fairly quick).

Would a Neu-Castle 1717 1580kv motor work (original for cars I assume, plus water jacket) and some ESC and Lipo to that?
Whatabout the ESC, would a "Turnigy Marine 180A Brushless Boat ESC" from HobbyKing work with such motor? (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8937)
    Lipo set-up?

Other motor/ESC/Lipo set-up suggestion for such hull?

Thanks for any advise and support.

The 1717 is no joke... Its a HUGE motor.

Im not going to comment if that motor will push that size of a hull because I dont know.

What I do know is that a 180A ESC is not big enough. I would think the 240A ones would work.

Steve offers the Swordfish here. HK has a 240A also, however its on back order.

Why don`t start with a smaller hull. You are gonna be spending lots of $$ rigging a 45" hull. And yes you do need to water cool your esc and motor, just buy a good quality esc with marine applications for safety reasons. No watercooling means overheating,....meaning you can blow up the esc........Al
