this is one I haver been looking at but i don't know anything about who makes it or quality.

    There is one by Gruapner

this is one by cen but it needs lots of mods to be water tight and the buttom of the hull needs tons of work to be made fast and stable so I say it is not a good canidate for fast electic.

then of course the best but also big 43" is the MZH

    hope this helps,
    Chris

Graupner link doesn't work. CEN boat has brushed motor (ugh).

The first one on the list is is made by Hobby China in Guangzhou. Very pretty but very poor quality. We stopped carrying their products. You have to be careful these days. Some are selling junk at rediculously low prices.

          this one works!
Thanks sailr I thought it looked too pretty to be true ;-)
I bought the Cen racing one and spent so much time tring to make it run decent and couldn't do it. it was a great beater boat running slow for the kids to play with but that was about it.

The first boat looks nice and so does the outdrive but I wonder how it performs.

We had the chance to carry that boat about 3 or 4 years ago but passed. The "U-Joint" between the steerable drive and the driveshaft looked like they would last about 10 minutes!

EGNEG I might buy it just to see and if it is lousy I will make it a shelf queen and make a scale drive unit for it.

It also does not look like it would be easy to waterproof.

the trailing edges don't look sharp and I want to see a shot of the bottom.

Well i still keep my CenGt,my first "FE" boat 2 yrs ago...please don`t laugh.Mine came with a normal mabuchi 700 brushed motor which i changed later on for a used 700 SS1,used Astro 212d running 2-8.4volts pack on a 42mm prop!!.What a transformation.Handling, even with the steerable drive is ok at speeds, just don`t go to steep turning around as this is the bad point on this boats. The factory esc is a piece of junk. But comparing it to my newer brushless more modern boats i can say it still good. Not bad for a beginner abs plastic boat. Why i don`t get rid of it??....`cause the effort i put to its paint job and making it faster. And `cause i still like it taking it around for a spin.
Aside from the outdrive i believe this to be a good handling hull, same as the real size racing V-24`s.Sometimes i see me thinking on changing hardware and running it on lipos.....some day,...not yet........Albert

Looing at the high winds 29 1/2in, 2 380 motors vector steer. Could it be moded? New controls and motors?
