    Twin motors in what classes

Can someone clarify if twin motors are typically allowed in national races or more up to individual clubs. If so, what classes, offshore?

    Thanks, Steve

Under the current NAMBA power spec rules, all classes from O through T can run multiple motors. But some specialty classes are limited to a single motor. Among them are:
    LSH
    LSO
    1/10 Scale
While the rules do state that Sport Hydros can have multiple motors, I have never seen one with twin props.

However, the FE rules will likely be changing this year, and I am not familiar with all the changes. Multiple motor rules may be different. Someone else will have to cover IMPBA rules.

I guess I was more directed towards offshore classes. Do the folks with twins for cats race in offshore or are they mostly sport boaters? I am getting back into racing after 5 years and was curious to what has changed. I read IMPBA and they allow from O-2 on up.
