    hk pursuit with 1620kv

just purchased a hobbyking pursuit and turnigy 120 amp esc. just wondering if these motors are any good? will this setup handle 6s lipo?
and what would be good for me to start with prop wise?
    thanks guys.
kinda new to the boating scene.
and sorry if there is another thread same as this just did not see a pursuit with this size motor here.

    Hi.
If the esc is suppo (brand) it wont work on 6s.
    38-40mm prop for this motor.

That motor will fry on 6S, get a Leopard 1400Kv and a decent ESC (Seaking 180 at least) if you want to go 6S.

This was the same stock set-up when I got my Pursuit. I was unhappy with the speeds so I put in a Leopard 4074, 1820KV on 5s. You can see the performance under the VIdeo Section of OSE under a posting by ProperChopper called "Joe's Pursuit Mono at Lake Forest". Speeds and prop details included there.

I did not go with the 1640 KVbecause I would have needed to run the T180 ESC at 6s. Many people have problems burning up the T-180's with 6s unless you do several modifications to it including adding an additional large cap bank and using a BEC.

Good luck, it is a fine hull, just rip out all the wood inside and do it right. I also think the T-120 is too small if you plan to use a Leopard 4074 size motor.
