Bill there are some realy great blokes in FE boats and Steve is one of them! Always quick to answer emails and bends over backwards to help his customers. Between Steve at OSE and AG at fastelectrics I have never been without parts or advise and these two blokes are what the others should try to emulate. Without them I doubt my addiction to this hobbie would ever of taken off, welcome to the need for speed and I hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as I do.
Bill-I ordered a graupner ouytdrive last friday and I got it on Tuesday.if thats not service I dont know what is.OSE is now my solo website.thanks Steve
It is always great when you find a vendor that you can count on. Plus as I discovered, OSE is NOT Steve's main gig. He has a "real" job, which makes doing the OSE store AND running this site all the more impressive.
It's been over a year for me doing business with OSE. I continue to be impressed with the service all the time. No matter what happens with an order you can count on it being taken care of.

Bill if FE wasn't so much a passion of mine I would never have the drive to pull both jobs off. I have said this before, but someday I would love to retire and do OSE full time. But until the three kids are out of college, that isn't going to happen. Plus the economy around here just down right sucks. My full time job is a Jewelry store owner. I have been running it for quite a while. After 22 years of having increasing sales each year, 3 years ago sales started declining. I'm still waiting to see where it will stop.
It's starting to affect more than just retail also. Every day while on the road in town more and more houses on my routs are up for sale or in foreclosure. I said 10 years ago it was not a good idea to fill this small town with 600k mini mansions. Well it seems I was right. Tax revenue is down and I have to negotiate our union contract this coming year. I am in for an epic battle when it comes to benefits and salaries. I hope the housing market recovers..thats whats dragging every thing under.
I agree, Steven is committed to excellence and honesty on every transaction. What I appreciate most is his honesty when dealing with Newbies or tyros. He never persuades one to buy an "overstock" product because of one's inexperience, unlike another major northeast dealer. I just wish I had done business with him earlier.

Honesty is the only way. But I have to say that being a jewelry store owner helps a bunch. As a jewelry store owner your rep is EVERYTHING! We started out with a 400 square foot showroom with 2 showcases. We expanded about 3 times in 25 years. I now have about 2000 square feet and 20 plus showcases. Building a loyal customer base is the only way to succeed in this biz. But I think the net is killing the brick and mortar world of small business. I can easily beat a online price and for the most part my jewelry prices are at or below online pricing. BUT, there is a perception that no matter what the net is cheaper.
Well personally I appreciate your insanity. I say that because anyone who willingly chooses to deal with modelers for "fun" is clearly out of his mind!!!
Man I'd rather buy my stuff in the store anyday, not to mention I love hangin out and talkin shop. It's a good thing I don't live closer to ya man. You would either have to kick me outa the store or hire me.

My wife works for a realestate company here, last time she looked there was over 800 houses up for sale or in foreclosure here. and our town is just over 100,000 people.
