Good to know about the toxicity! MG also has the acrylic lacquer as well as 2 part epoxy conformal. If the silicon stuff is that toxic wonder what the remover they sell for it is like? Spray it on and it dissolves away the coating!
Odd that corrosionx isn't avaiable widely in Canada you can get Boeshield, fluid film and all kinds of others.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

So the topic doesnt get lost, Lets keep this thread on the corrosion x stuff. There are a bunch of threads on conformal coating already.

I take my receiver apart and spray them. That way I know the entire board is covered.

Is it ok to use red Corrosion X on every thing in servos including servo motor, I know it ok to use on your brushless boat motors. Also when doing rx with Corrosion X do you simply sray it on & let the excess drip off & then let it dry + how many coats does it need & do you let each coat to fully dry before giving another coat. Thanks Martin.

It's OK to use Corrosion X on everything. We sometimes spray our receivers, esc's, motors, etc. between heats if any water has gotten in the boat. No need to even let it dry. Great stuff. Just spray it two or three times a year.

CX never dries. It will always leave an oily film. It will somewhat spread, annoying but not damaging to anything.

Several people on the seaplane forum said that their servo quit working some time after using CX inside of it. Most people recommend opening it and only doing the circuit board, not the motor and other parts. I just sprayed the hell out of a $3 analog micro servo on my recovery boat and will see how long it lasts.
