    Race apparition water cooling thoughts

Hi all I have placed a order for an appariton twin brushless cat to race in tunnel class my problem is about watercooling for the motors. It will have a race spec rudder with twin pick ups to run seprate lines to each motor and esc.

I dont know how good the stock jackets on the motors will hold up as the hull and power set up to run at least 45- 50mph wether the seals will hold before they leak and how effective they will be in a race enviroment as you dont know wth hobbyking lol.

So i was thinking of replacing them either using a silicone jacket or a coil with heatsink compound as the coil would be made to cover the whole can and it wont possibly balloon like the silicone its just a thought after reading a article on fast electrics.net.

Also ill be using 2 x4s 5000 mah ,120 amp speedo's, 42mm counter rotating props either 2 or 3 blade and motors i don't know yet but if i get expensive motors i want the assurance of knowin the motors are kept cool.

Any thoughts would be great on the isses of 2 or 3 blade props, and motor watercooling

Hey, If you are going to race this in a AMPBA class, you had better read the rules on twins. In the EA class you can only run 1 5000 4s battery to feed the both motors. The seals are fine in the motors, you wont do them any harm.

Hi to both thanks for the reply yes i need to read the rules more thoroughly and thanks for the tip it will save me on another battery lol its all fun and games when ur still learnin so ill take any advice i can get as this is my first F/E boat.

Is there a good y harness to connect the battery pack to both escs and the same with escs to one reciever.

Would the coils be more efficient and which props would be best to use 2 or 3 blades as i want to get good speed but good run time also keep temps down andrew from fast electrics recommended 42mm counter rotating props but i forgot to ask 2 or 3 blade.

And what would be good motors to use when i get to that stage stock they're 2881kv 380 size and to team FFRB love the logo as i am a big fan of the fast and furious movies so combinin both my passions of fast cars and race boats was an awesome idea wish i could join or have come up with somethin like that
