    Here's how I did this idea in my Titan 29 { an old very battered, but still competative LSO-Spec rig}. Actually, the original location of the battery beds were up on the sides, but I like as much weight on the centerline/keel to minimize chine-wobble. A little crude in this 5 year old workhorse boat, but works for me. Quick-release nylon ties make things easy.

      Another choice would be 3M Dual lock:



      It will break your battery trays before it lets go of the battery. Ask me how I know.

        True. I have used this stuff but got tired of carring around the crowbar needed to release it.

          ive pulled out battery trays with batteries connected using the industrial strenght velco and once cured ( about a week) it holds up to water also

            To cut it I use a Tungsten carbide saw like this:



            Then to refine the edges I use little diamond files and sand paper. The process is very long and It took me 8-10 hours to build it.
