    battery tray?

I'm going to move the battery more rear on my Titan 29" because it runs a little wet.
I have ordered two wooden battery trays from ebay that are the same that I have glued on the bottom of the hull.

While waiting to be here I have decided to build two trays a little longer and made of carbon.
The two ordered are 130mm lenght and the ones I'm building are 200mm.
What are the most used battery trays?

I normally remove them if the boat comes with them or I use them for other stuff. I used the stock battery tray on my Pursuit to mount my esc and gps to it.

With the batteries I've been using (700 gr each) only the velcro can't hold them in case of a crash.
I'm going to use velcro on battery tray and battery straps.

I use "industrial strength" velcro that comes in a 25 foot roll........its about as wide as a lipo.........a tad wider, but whe the full length of the batt has velcro, and a matching size piece in the hull, i can barely pull it out...........its in there!!

I like velcro in a mono, but it doesn't work too well in the stepped hulls. I like to epoxy a 2" wide piece of aluminum or thin ply. and attach velcro to that to smooth out the steps!

                      Try this :

Make a box, epoxy it to the bottom of the hull & there you go.

Thanks ! In this case the motor-mount rails are just the perfect size to extend into a battery-holding box. Even without rails, the same concept can be used.
Easy in/out, and no pesky velcro flapper-strappers !!

I've learned the hard way that the more time spent building on the bench, the less trouble on the water. That, and the memory of a fellow club member a few SAW's ago flipping his boat, launching his batteries up and out with a CC 240 STILL ATTACHED, sending batteries and CC 240 to the bottom !

Your solution is the best I've seen so far but in my Titan 29 the motor is located forward and I need to place the batteries on both sides.

Also I agree 100% with your statement "I've learned the hard way that the more time spent building on the bench, the less trouble on the water. "

Here is my own made battery tray. I have made two of these.
