    Esc cooling plate

    What is the best thing to use to hold a aluminum cooling plate securely on top of the fets. There is a white paste on the one I removed from a Hydra 120 that

    OSE sells a white elctro grease used in just that needed area.

      Either some kind of mechanical clamp to hold plate securely to ESC (with thermal grease between cooling plate & FETs) OR thermally conductive epoxy (like arctic silver thermal epoxy adhesive) to glue cooling plate to FETs-no mechanical clamp would be necessary.
      IIRC Castle uses thermal epoxy adhesive on their ESCs...some other ESCs use the mech. clamp method (HobbyKing 100A HV)

          I just use large heat shrink tubing. Like the kind used for battery cells - 2" wide or better. Be sure to use the heat transfer grease, it helps tremendously.
