    motor timming

    default set at 15deg. i am using a castle 1518 is this ok

    Not sure where your second post went...? Anyway, what you reported in that post is not that strange, your boat is just telling you that you are near the top end for your current setup. The bigger prop is loading the motor more than the smaller one did, so with lower rpm the higher pitch is not helping the speed too much. You can try the m545 but I don't expect much difference. Cutting the x645 down to 42 mm or pitching the x642 up may work better.

    15 degrees is fine for the 1Y motor. You could go up a couple degrees, but don't expect a lot of speed difference.

      thanks jay the second post was for a new thread i deleted it, you know i am not good with modifying props should i be trying more like the 4 series octura props and not the 6 that i have except the x447,

        I would try the m545 first but I doubt it will gain much speed. Without knowing more it is tough to say. Any idea of the amp draw/run time versus amount put back in the cells?

          well it tough to the 4s batts i have one seemed to be puffy after a short run so i dont want stinky new boat right away they are identical, the last few runs have been with mix match batts they are higher end cells but different parameters and a rudder problem so i have not got to wide open for a good length of time
