    SAW 8s setup?

    1527-1Y 1250 Kv on 8s...What prop for SAW run's, And a prop for a more reliable longer run's?

    Going on a single drive Cat hull in upper 30" -40" range.

    At 37K no load your just breaking into SAW revs more like an oval setup. I would stick with a lightweight 40"ish Cat start with a X447/3 & work your way up to X452/3. Detounged 3 blades, skegged struts & offset rudders work best on big Cats! Aeromarine makes a nice Sprint-Cat in that size. Careful with that controller on such a large setup (marginal).

        SAW stands for straight away. They are usually top speed record attempts. You run two passes in opposite directions on 1/16 mile straight course. The set ups for these boats are very hot as the equipment is pushed to the limit so they can only make very short runs before .
