HELP! what sticks to mean machine interior?

so i got an MM from ose. i wanted the carbon cloth to look shiny so i layered it with z poxy without sanding, then i fiberglassed the front on the inside as far as i could, everything looked fine. last night i drilled starter hole for stuffing tube and everything went haywire. all the epoxy started to come up. i tried another coat in the center section of the hull. tonight i just grabbed a heat gun and chisel and scraped everything right out, wasnt to hard to do either so something is seriously wrong with what im doing. so im back to where i started. what the heck sticks to this aeromarine hull? btw i used strips of wood around the hatch hole so i can have a sub hatch, and i used cheapo 5 minute epoxy gel that WILL NOT come off. its really stuck good. what the heck?

I'm assuming that you spread epoxy before laying down the cf...correct?

A thin layer of epoxy by itself wont have a whole lot of strength against chipping. If you are just laying over carbon mat that is already dry, thats your problem. Sand it well wherever you are going to lay carbon and lay new mat over teh top with the z poxy.

I like to clean thoroughly with acetone to get it ready to absorb the epoxy. this will also remove any other antistick agents.

good dry sanding with 80-100, clean with aceton or alcohol, and use 24 hr (2 part) laminating epoxy. The surface where the epoxy is applied must not be shiny or smooth, must be quite rough.
The reason that came off is probably because the surface was not sanded much, and when epoxy cures leaves a very small film on top which must be sanded so that the next epoxy to bond.
