    Neu 1512 question

Can you run 6s on this motor, 1512-2Y 1400KV?

I'd like to run these in a twin cat setup on 6s if possible. Ill use Hydra 180's on x445's.

I dont see why you cant. Its only 31,080rpm.I dont know what your speed goals are,but it should be a cool running set up.I assume your having 447's cut down to 445's?

Are you saying this will be a slow setup on a 36-37" hull?

Slow....no. It's by no means too much rpm for those motors though.

6s is perfect for that motor.................it is a tad smallish for a 37" hull though.

I think that the 1512 will be fine in a twin-motored 6S 36" cat. I run my 35" SprintCat on one 1527 and 6S, and two 1512s have about the same mass as a single 1527. I think that 1515s might be a tad better, but the 1512s will work.

Can we expect to see 60's with a light setup? Why has anyone not used these in a ekos?

To me,your set up sounds like it will be a long lasting, reliable set up.Fluid is right about the 1515's,but what you have will do the job too.You havent stated any speed goals, but I doubt you will over prop the motors, especially if you go with the 447's.It might be a good idea to get 2 extra 447's and have them cut down to 445's.They might end up being the perfect props for your twin.Id like to get this done myself. Its an awfully big gap between 442's and 447's.

                      Which hull Nate?
And the EKOS... it's kind of a terd.

With the right prop you will probably see 60mph.You have to start small though. Also, the EKOS and other 32" cats are cramped for room in the sponsons.

A 35" Sprintcat is a LOT more boat than a 37" H@M Drifter L too. So it depends a lot on the boat.

Yep.Waste of money.Dont ever bother with the EKOS.

Why not just buy 445's? I can't do prop work sorry. I'm looking to maybe build up a twin setup later not now. If it was a clean job I would use this setup in an ekos hull. There's a friend I know that has the bare King of shaves hull for sale and I might jump on this. Just can't figure up on motor mount's. Id like to see 65
