what are the MORE OPTIONS now? I thought it was SV27, UL-1, Proboat motors. Some run a Himax also.

It has always been the sv-27, UL-1, and Proboat (after the UL-1 came out). Maybe way back before the BJ26 and the UL-1 came out (a few years now), it probably was just the SV. A question has arisen, does the new proboat motor used in the outboard qualify? (higher KV) and the SV27R is a different KV also?

        Hard to keep up! Haha.

I highly recommend the UL-1 motor. I have great luck with them ( and their 60A ESC). Best prop I have found that I run on my 29" cat and also on my whiplash, is the Octura M445.

I'd try Sailr's suggestion of the UL-1 and test the hull with the following props... M440/3, m440 2 blade, x442, Y537/3, and m445.

These 2 motors have been added to the list of P-Limited Approved motors in the NAMBA proposal that will be out with the next Propwash...which I think they are shooting for March.

Yes-it is hard to keep this all straight, but it made sense to include them since they are in production right now and they are of the same family with what clubs have allowed to date...and under the UL-1 in regards to Kv.
