I am going to replace the drive shaft system inmy boat. I have the x blaze from BananaHobby (first mistake lol), this is my first go around with boats, anyway, had in the water today went around the pond a couple of times then it stopped. When I got it back the prop and end of the flex shaft were gone. want to put in a more dependable setup. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

try these fellows
I took a look at their web site to see that boat, I copied a picture of it for reference. It is a bit toy like, but you can check with Jeff Wollt www.rcraceboat.com e-mail @ [email protected] and or Steve here at OSE Home page.
Both are very knowledgeable and can put you on the right track.

No problem! I purchased an RC Plane from them and am very happy with it. The price was great and the plane is terrific. Sky Surfer - Foamie - powered glider with a brushless motor - amazing plane for the money.
We all have to start some where. That is a nice little boat to get started with. Read up on the different types of boats on this and other forums before you buy next time and by all means, ask questions.
This forum can save you money and time. Enjoy.

This is the first time I got a bad product from them, have bought 2 heli's from BH the little lama2 coax and the e razor 450. The 450 wasn't very stable unless you upgrade all the servos and the esc and all was good, I've since then bought a t-rex 450 and a t-rex clone kit to put together. I really like the heli's, just I have no depth perception so I can't get it more than 30ft away from me then all gets bad.
and tired of doing repairs every time i take it out. Thinking about getting rid of them. For what little time I got to run my boat, already hooked. Once I get the x blaze right, gonna go for a miss geico, seems to be alot of satisfied people with them.
My wife bought me the boat for christmas. She just happened to be paying attention when I was checking out the x blaze,so that is what she got me. Am happy with it, handles nice and pretty quick.Comment

The X-blaze uses a square ended flexshaft. Horrible setup. We won't sell them because of that. In order to change it over to a more reliable system, you need a coupler from OSE that fits your motor shaft (5mm?) and a .150 flex cable with a 3/16" prop shaft. The next thing is you will have to adapt the strut to accept the 3/16" prop shaft. Can't remember if you have to drill it out or shim it up.
Good luck!Mini Cat Racing USA

The strut is the blue part that is mounted to the rear of the boat (transom) the prop shaft goes through it....prop on the end of the shaft.Mini Cat Racing USA
