    Just use two 3s packs in series for 6s total.I use two Turnigy 3s 5000mah 40-50c packs.

      Id start with an X445.I had very good speeds and cool temps with this one.

          A 4082 1500kv can turn a 642 without even breaking a sweat.

            Ok, not to try and hijack anything here, but I hava friend with a stock Genesis.
            Any 'budget' setup for this boat. by that I mean a hobbyking motor, and I have also recomended that he get the 180 amp esc. and a prop that will go with this.
            2x 2s 5000 lipo's in serie, but higher if the motor can handle it.
